For those who do not know, I am from Lisbon, Portugal. And although I absolutely love my city and miss it like crazy, the fact is that in terms of vintage stores we are very poor. Besides the fact that they are really expensive, there are only like 3 or 4 and believe me, they aren't worth it, is practically everything junk.

So, when I moved to the beautiful city of Nottingham and discovered AMAZING vintage stores and charity shops I was astonished. The clothes are surprisely good, unique and really cheap.

But when entering this new world, filled with beautiful things, we can easily get lost and end up buying stuff we don't even need or like that much.

What is worth buying then?

DESIGNER PIECES

So finding a good designer piece can be quite hard but if you are patient enough (and lucky) you will probably find one.

If you are like me, someone who worships big brands and is in love with high- fashion but has a small budget, vintage stores are the right place. There is Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Prada, Versace and so on for half the price (or more). It is crazy.

ACCESSORIES

I am a huge fan of accessories, I really am. Scarfs, sunglasses and earrings are my prediction but you can also find treasures like wallets, bracelets and rings. You choose.

The best place to find original adornments is in vintage stores. They are much cheaper and no one will have the same as yours. You win.

HOODIES

I honestly don't know how people live without hoodies. They are comfortable, if you choose the right ones they improve your outfit and they are a big trend.

As you may have noticed in social media or in the streets, everyone is wearing sporty brands like Nike, Fila, Reebok and are reinventing brands like Elesse, Kappa and Umbro.

The best place to find this hoodies are in vintage stores, no doubt here.

A big part of mine are from vintage stores and the fact that there only just a few like mine you save like 40 pounds.

Ok so in Nottingham there are plenty of vintage shops and charity stores and some of them are: Wild, Braderie, Cow, Relic, White Rose 2 and Barnardo's Shop. I am sure there are more but these are my favorites so far.
