MERRY CHRISTMAS
December is here and although I don't really like to admite this, my trench coats aren't enough to keep me warm anymore. *sad face*. Yesterday it was snowing, I was freezing soooo much. God. But the sun was out so it felt like the Universe was laughing at me.
Back in Portugal the weather is much nicer, I have never experienced this kind of Winter so when everyone starts wearing just one sweater I am already wearing my super warmer clothes. So thank God, puffer jackets are again a must- have for this next season.
Everyone knows that fashion is cyclic, this a trend from the 90s that is now back in the streets and I find that very interesting.

Puffer jackets have been part of the runway essentials and many famous brands like Balenciaga, Versace, Saint Laurent, Kenzo and Prada have released collections of this type of jacket. Even when walking in the streets and refreshing my feed on social media, I started noticing a trend on winter coats.
I remember when I was a kid my mum would buy me these type of jackets and it would made me so angry because I looked like the Michelin man. It was a nightmare. I think no one loves them at first sign but there is a saying in my country that goes more or less like "At first you find it strange but then you can't get enough of it" and it is so true. There are so many different models, you can go for the metallized, the colorful ones, with texture, deformed or oversized. I adore the fact that it creates a very dramatic and bold look and basically everything goes great with them.
All we need is a very good dose of street style to inspire us, so here it is my dears:

Puffer jackets will be your new best friend, get used to it and don't be afraid of stepping up your puffer coat game. Forget the neutral/ solid colours and choose some complex design with vivid patterns. Live a little and try to get out of your comfort zone, you will not regret it, hence you will probably even feel more confident at the end of the day.
The trick is to have some balance, you have to play with forms. If you are wearing more volume on the top, the bottom has to be way less bulky. I would sugest an oversized puffer with some skinny jeans if you are trying to go for a sober/ classic look.

Every store has now loads of different models of puffer jackets, all you have to do is select the one that suits you better and voilà.
Bellow in the gallery I will leave some suggestions, some of them being more peculiar than others.
