Recently I went to London to spend a few days with a friend of mine and we came across the immersive multidisciplinary exhibition NO, IT IS NOT; NOT ALWAYS.
It was a portrait exhibition ran by the artists Andreas Rod and Arthur Sopin along with their project Downtown 500 Magazine, a magazine that aims to Bring together the narratives of creative direction, contemporary photography, art, fashion and media production.
NO, IT IS NOT; NOT ALWAYS reveals the human being through the eyes of metamodernists, capturing the divergences between us in a more softer way. It is a mix between past and present, destruction and reconstruction, freedom and captivity. An unique narrative celebrating personality, diversity, queerness and identity.
During the exhibition there was also a performance that really caught my attention for being so abstract yet so captivating. The artist was Me'taraph, a self- taught artist whose works explore a multitude of artistic fields and mediums ranging from fashion and jewelry to performance and visual arts.
His performance was called SYNAISTHESIS and the intention was for the watcher enter a new dimension with an extra sensorial experience. It was definitely something new to me as my senses were all mixed, all over the room.
Unfortunately it was not possible to take pictures but i really had a great time, it is always a pleasure be able to be part of other people's art and seeing talented people being sucessful.
