I decided to do a post about the people that inspire me daily since I think some of them are worth way more recognition. Most of them you will be able to find on Instagram since its the major source of my influences.

Just a month ago, while procrastinating on youtube, I found myself seeing the weirdest videos EVER. Just as I was about to close the tab and start to do some work (we have all been here) I saw in the side a video called Human with a beautiful image. This is how I discovered one of my favourite artists.

"Antwood" is the alias of Tristan Douglas, a eletronic music producer. He explores themes such as artificial inteligence, subversive advertising in the media, robot ethics and society and its morals.

"Listening to Antwood is an overwhelming sensory experience, a barrage of artificial sound that’s impossible to not be enveloped by."

I HATE eletronic music, it isn't my type at all but his melodies are something else. They are so beautifully made, it flows through my body and almost makes me cry. It feels like he is trying to transmite flaws and what being broken feels like. But it is not in a bad way, it is just so simple, fragile and dazzling. To me is the sound of life. It reminds me of porcelain, or touching someone that we really care about.

The first time I listened him I was completely disarmed, it was something unexpected that really messed with my head.

BUT what really made me fall in love with him was the videoclips. I literally cried while seeing Don't Go. It is just so strong and powerful, I can't find the words to describe such complex video. This is art. When something gives you the chills and makes you wonder if you have ever seen something more fascinating and delicate.

I seriously think that everyone should listen to him and see the videoclips. It is so worth it and will change your views on art. At least changed mine.

See the videoclipe HERE.

I came across him on Instagram when I was in New York and I fully adored his designs. Patrick Church is a British multimedia artist with a very distinctive work derived from his enchantment and obession with the human body.

I love his bold and playful looks and the fact that he uses models from all colours, genders and races.

He offers hand- painted pieces so everything that he designs his unique, for someone like me that iates being dressed like everyone else is a reliev.

Everything is exaggerated and intensified, very much like a caricature.

"The importance of story is central to the collection, from a vintage wedding dress to a now illustrated 1970’s leather pant suit; each piece has its own serendipitous tale to tell."

His first collection is out now and is very much about the woman, her body and the society expectations. In some of the photos of the Collection we can see a woman crying and surrounded by statements like "Dirty Girl". It's campy and playful.

He also launched is e- store in September. See the looks below:

- GABRIELA MENDEZ

Gabriela Mendez is a 19 year Colombian photographer based in Miami. What I love about her work is how she incorporates colours in her projects in such a wonderful way.

"Gabriela Mendez showcases bold and ethereal portraits, seemingly unaware of her ability to capture the emotions and beauty of the unconventional models she works with."

It is obvious that the photographer values colours above all but her visual identity is still developing, at least since i started following her on Instagram (see HERE) she grew up a lot.

Her aesthetic is completely different from other photographers, although it's very playful it also transmits fierce and emotions.

"What I like the most about portraying people is the people; humans are so beautiful and unique, especially up close."

Her photographs are unique and she really is an inspiration for me. I would love to see her working in fashion tutorials or maybe creating a lookbook for a brand like Fiorucci ou Gucci.
