This is America is the most recent song from the incredible Childish Gambino, a musician that is so much more than that. He adresses real problems in his songs such as gun control, racism, violence, homophobia, entertainment as a distraction and so on.

This song and the videoclip are truly powerful, containing a strong message with hidden meanings.

I was already a big supporter of his work but after this he earned all of my respect. Childish Gambino uses his power and influence to comment on black life in America and American culture as a whole.

It is brutal, there are people committing suicide, others getting killed, some people robbing while the singer, who is representing America, dances and smiles at the camera.
