For my final project we had to came up with a fragrance for an already existing brand, I ended up choosing Shrimps. My secondary research on the fragrance sector was based on trend reports by WGSN.
Perfume launches are focusing on lighter formulations, fresh citrus teamed with vibrant green notes and new collaborations with musicians and designers.
"Collaborations between perfumers and creative professionals continue, as brands exploit the potential of cross- pollinating consumer interests."
Some examples are: Ben Gorham with Virgil Abloh- Elevator Music; Floris x Kilchoman- Islay;
Nejma teamed up with Booba- Koeptys.
Florals are also being used in a more playful way, with cheerful combinations.
Some exemples are: Castelbajac- Beautiful Day Bonheur;
Guerlain- La Petite Robe Noir Ma Robe

Unusual citrus notes are becoming popular for a contemporary, long- lasting update. (The aim is to create vibrant combinations).
Some examples are: Gucci- Bloom Acqua di Fiori;
Acqua di Parma- Chinotto di Liguria;
Fragonard- Verveine.
The fragrance sector is also looking to make a connection to emotions such as calmness, mental empowrment and confidence. So basically scented emporwment.
"Increasingly, fragrance is being linked to wellness, with ingredients highlighted for their beneficial health properties."
Some exemples are: Prosody London- Mocha Muscari;
St Giles- The Writer;
Calvin Klein- Eternity.
"Fragrance is becoming even more connected to the wellness trend, with an increased focus on how it makes us feel, rather the Impact it might have on others."
